I am supporting Andrew Gounardes because he is fierce advocate for students, teachers, and everyone in the K-12 and higher education sector.

Most households in our community have a CUNY student or a CUNY graduate. This institution has been the vehicle for upward economic mobility across the city. Andrew has worked tirelessly to secure funding for higher education, so our City continues to help hardworking New Yorkers achieve the American Dream.

As a Graduate of Fort Hamilton High School and CUNY-Hunter College, Andrew understands firsthand the value of an affordable, quality public education for all.

As someone who works at CUNY, I have witnessed firsthand the hardships students face and realized the importance of electing public officials who support them so they can earn a degree.

We need Andrew to continue this fight on behalf of all of us, especially under the restrictive budget environment we find ourselves facing. Andrew wants to expand access and opportunities for all New Yorkers. This is crucial now as we prepare to emerge from this pandemic.

Students will be our partners in helping us rebuild the city and get back on track. Please join me in supporting Senator Gounardes.  Andrew’s advocacy will have a ripple effect across communities in our community and all across New York.
